uugggh, its too hot!

Finally the heat has become unbearable. I live in a built on room away from A/C access and it has become a sauna. I spend all day in my underwear laying on my tile floor. The thing i really am bummed about is no more cute socks or beanies.
 Everyone who knows me, knows that i have a obsession with beanies and scarfs and also socks. I have more socks and panty hose than anything else. So summer is a bummer for me. I hate open toe shoes because i have ugly feet so i cover them in cute shoes. I wish i could just wear gloves everyday and cover my hands up too.

So last night the lottery was at 640 million, i never gamble but i like to pretend. I think its time i start gambling, i looked to my numerology book to find my lucky lotto numbers and the numbers i came up were were exactly the same (minus one) and in the exact same order they called them....i spent the rest of the night drinking wondering "what if..." i still can't believe the numbers i chose were the ones they called almost exactly.

But on a positive note i got a big order on etsy last night so it cheered me up. I love this customer because she buys all my finished cute stuff, no custom requests, no supplies, no clearance stuff. Just things i put a lot of love and thought into and she likes them just the way they are. EXCEPT i was missing one ring and am almost positive it was stolen by a family member who does not live with me. I can't trust anyone here. It was a cute panda ring and its gone! but i decided to load her with goodies not shown on my etsy. because i love them.

Heres one of my handmade rilakkuma bear rings. the paint job is sloppy but its the best i could do 

these are a few of the hair pins i offer in my shop for $5. i think she cleaned me out of all the cute kawaii animals but i have plenty of material to make more upon request. She ordered the purple heart shaped pin with the cute cat and the big yellow circle shaped pin with the bunnies and cat. the round pink one with the teddy bear holding a lollipop i put in for free. I really hope she enjoys the order. 

well i guess thats all today, tomorrow i have a few things going on but tonight i will enjoy the night alone and do some  crafting. I have a whole list of things i want to finish and a whole other list of items i want to start. i think i have plenty of jewelry made, time to move on.

I'm overrun with supplies!

so I have been blessed with a big room, big enough to do all my crafting in it. but now it has become overrun with supplies! everyone gives me their unused supplies which is great but now i have enough supplies to open a shop! in december i used all my birthday and christmas money and bought supplies and its been great because I'm just starting to get out of the hole i dug after spending all that money. i didn't realize how expensive it would be. 

It's nice because i have everything i could ever dream of but its a little overwhelming! right now i have a screen printer, sewing machine, embroidery machine, tattoo gun, computer, printer, scanner, camera....and all the things that come along with them. i just don't know where to start haha. so i started with jewelry. i had never made any before so i thought it would be a challenge. its been very expensive but fun. 


And guess what? more supplies came in today, stuff i ordered a month ago. thats exactly what i need, more stuff. but its all cute and girly. I'm gonna keep a few and sell the rest. i noticed no one really wants my finished products, they just want supplies. which is fine but its hard to make a profit. or even make it worth your time. but you have to go with what works. 

crafting would be funner if i had a friend to hang out with who was into crafting but i have realized that the people in this town are horrible horrible people. never have i met people so concerned about themselves. they are pushy, rude, liars, thieves, drug addicts, bad drivers, just mean mean people. i was born here but i left for 17 years and lived in Phoenix Arizona. but now I'm back at the border of texas and mexico. i can't wait to get out of here. after a year of living here i have not made one friend. i have been hurt by a lot of people and finally i decided to just hang out by myself and my henry (my teddy bear...dont laugh)

     

ok...so another post real quick!

 I just finished shooting the new pics for my new ice cream necklaces today ($10 in my shop) i had so much fun i wanna make like 50 more. i will also have chocolate and vanilla soon. i'll wait till these ones sell. i have too much in my shop as it is. I still have like 650 finished products just collecting dust.

 I hope to get some fans and some new customers. I am pretty close with a few customers and it makes me feel like they are friends. i give everyone the "friend" price and i have gotten a lot of great feedback from people who started out as strangers and now we have chats just for fun. now i have a place to make "friends" and have chats and get feedback on new products. i would post deals and coupons but no one has time to check for that stuff so i made everything in my shop $10 or less. all day everyday first customers or people who have ordered multiple times. times are tough and its nice to get yourself little gifts here or there. and it makes my day making them. i can't work because i take care of my stepdad and it requires me to be available all day everyday at different times so i found a way to make a little money here or there. but i obviously can't afford a manicure ;)

My first post!

I finally figured this thing out. I'm slow at things like that. my grandmother had a Facebook before me!
I decided to do a blog to get my name out there. I'm a jewelry maker and I'm just starting out trying to exploit myself out to make a quick buck. but hey aren't we all? 


a little about myself, I'm a hyper active girl with ADD i have no friends but i keep myself entertained. I have a wonderful boyfriend who has put up with my shenanigans for a year now. I have the coolest little brother who keeps me young. I dabble in photography, sewing, crocheting, tattooing, drawing, karate, ghost hunting, dancing, hula hooping, and much more. I Don't knit, bead, scrapbook, wash my hair, or wear flip flops. I'm just not into that stuff. huh


You are wondering why i went with heathen scum goes kawaii? well Heathen Scum is a term of endearment for me. my name is heather but i received the nick name from my friends who told me when I'm drunk my alter ego comes out "Heathen". Heathen is loud, happy, fun, adventurous, crazy. Sober I'm the complete opposite, i spend friday nights crocheting, i don't go out, I'm very quiet, almost to the point its uncomfortable for people. i have always had a dark comfortable style and it mainly consisted of beanies, baggy pants, band shirts, and no makeup. a few years ago i ditched my abusive boyfriend, lost 30 lbs and decided life is too short to be drab every day. now everything is going from black to pink! I'm still a tomboy but now I wear makeup sometimes and do my hair (or wear a wig) and now i know what all the hype is with hello kitty and kawaii. as a kid i never had a my little pony or hello kitty or lisa frank stuff. it was all black clothes, ghosts and aliens. i feel like I'm reliving everything i passed on as a kid at 24.
